Jaycee-Baker Park in Hurst, Texas

What? Jaycee-Baker Park, Hurst, Texas

Open 6am-10pm daily

Where? 500 Belmont

Cost? FREE!

This park is SUPER close to North East Mall, but you would never know it.  Jaycee-Baker Park is tucked away in the surrounding neighborhood.  Don’t be dismayed if you feel like you can’t possibly be on your way to a park! Without my BSF leader planning a lunch date for our group here, we would have missed out.

I was thrilled to see actual parking specifically for the park.  It was a great place to meet with a group of people because there are about 30 parking spots, so finding a spot should not be an issue.

My little ones love the park, but this one is, quite literally, a bit out of a toddler’s reach.  The target age for the play structure is 5-12 years old (per the City of Hurst) but it has a ton of fun crawling, climbing and sliding options. Your littlest toddler will enjoy crawling through the tunnels, and swinging on the swings while your older one can play!

We also went for a stroll on the walking path and would have LOVED to have had a soccer ball.  The open field is perfect for a little game of soccer or baseball!

After we played, we sat under the pavilion and enjoyed our Chick-fil-A (right down the street!) for lunch.  Since there is no bathroom, be sure to bring hand sanitizer wipes ( I love Babyganics Alcohol-Free Hand Sanitizing Wipes), a changing pad and even a travel potty for kids who are potty training.  I love this travel potty and keep it in my car at all times. It has saved us from a wet carseat more than once!

What is your child’s favorite thing to do at the park?
