What? Bubble Land, An indoor playscape
Where? Gateway NFW Campus
The playscape is currently open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am – 4:00 pm. Periodically, the church will close to visitors due to other activities. Contact the church office before you visit for specific hours.
***not to be confused with the Southlake Campus Playscape***
Crawlers are a lot of fun…at home. Taking them places to play can be tough! They really want to CRAWL everywhere, like the parking lot and grocery store aisle. Grass stains? Yes. (This brand is AMAZING at removing stains!) Crawling outside is super fun and I love watching my kids explore the great outdoors, but sometimes I am not interested in my littles getting soaking wet or super dirty.
Indoor playground to the rescue!
Indoor playgrounds don’t have wood chips, are temperature regulated, and are enclosed. For the win!
This particular playground is inside the Gateway Church North Fort Worth Campus. When you arrive, walk through the front doors straight ahead, toward the cafe.
The playscape is in an inclosed area on your left…and yes, I did say cafe! They serve a delicious assortment of drinks and treats. You are welcome to bring your own food, but food options are always a plus! There are also tables, chairs and a nice little place to sit and watch your kids play.
The bathrooms here are super clean. They have a family restroom, which is super helpful when wrangling more than one kiddo. If you want a quick clean up before snack without heading to the restroom, we are big fans of Babyganics Handsanitizer Wipes. I keep these in my car, diaper bag, purse…basically anywhere we might need a little bacteria fighting action.
Back to the playscape. The play area is not huge, but has a nice climbing structure with a slide. I like it a lot for younger kids because they can’t get lost inside and I can easily get into the structure if needed. There is a small tunnel opposite the climbing structure that I prefer for my crawler.
Warning! The Gateway playscape can become very crowded and loud at times, but don’t be discouraged. I have only met friendly people and kiddos. If it is crowded when you go, try again at a different time of day. I have found that early in the morning or a little after lunch are usually pretty quiet.
I would NOT recommend going during a school holiday like Spring Break or Winter break if you only have small children.
